Ormond Glenhuntly Baseball Club Inc. (OGBC) gives notice of a Special General Meeting for the purpose of considering a special resolution to change its Rules/constitution.

The Special General Meeting will take place as follows:
Friday 20th March 2015 at 6:15 pm
Caulfield Park Pavilion
280 Balaclava Road
Caulfield North, VIC 3161

Under Section 50 of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (The Act) (which replaced the previous Associations Incorporation Act 1981) an Incorporated Association such as OGBC may, by Special Resolution, alter its Rules. Any alteration of the Rules does not take effect unless and until the alteration is approved by the Registrar of Incorporated Associations.

Further, The Act requires that for a Special Resolution to be passed at a General Meeting at least 75% of the members of the association voting at the meeting, whether in person or by proxy, vote in favour of the Resolution.

North Road Ormond – Rail Under Project

Please see below the latest detail regarding this important project impacting the club in the next few years.
Whilst we do have two years before work starts, that will pass quickly and we will collaborate with Council and BV to source an alternative venue during the project and ground reinstatement time line.

VicRoads outlined the expected durations with regards to impact upon EE Gunn Reserve as follows;
· Prepare area for stockpiling 2 Dec 2016 – 27 December 2016
· Stockpiling 27 December 2016 – 23 January 2017
· Remove Stockpiles 23 January 2017 – 24 July 2017
· Reinstate ovals and facilities 25 July 2017 – 1 October 2018
Our Council have confirmed they will work with us and BV on a relocation throughout the following playing seasons;
· Summer 2016/17 & 2017/18
· Winter 2017 & 2018

Council will also set up meetings with all clubs at EE Gunn Reserve to work through logistics and confirmed timing for the works.

OGBC to Continue in Division 3 for the 2014-2015 Summer season

We can now confirm that we are to continue in the Div 3 competition for next summer 2014/15.

Baseball Victoria advises there are 9 teams provisionally nominated for Div 3
(The same 6 from last summer plus Mulgrave, Carrum Downs and Research)
